Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

So this is my first scooter and im a bit confused to what i have it is a 95 Honda elite duh lol but the vin says it has the af16 right ???but the back of the motor says af05e... like i said this is my first scoot and its tons of fun but don't want to order parts that don't fit so any help would be greatly appreciated

You dont have an AF16 thats for sure.

kickstart rotates forward or backwards?

Being that the af16 gear ratio output is 12:1 which is ridiculously low, and from my understanding, it is possible to swap the gears out of an af05 if you use all the gears and the cover.
This should bring up the output gear ratio to 11:1.
ss421, could you give us a pic of the entire motor?
I do have an af16 with an se50 gear cover and gear set that works just fine.

Judging by your pics I'd say yes. From an NB50 Aero?
How does it run? I'd say put the engine cowl back on before riding it.
It is not recommended to run without them.

It runs great.... from what i was told it has a 70cc bore kit and arrow pipe with expansion chamber top speed so far has been 44 mph full tuck no wind...and sadly enough i don't have the cover....as far as i know there has been no mods to clutch so is there any thing i can do to get me around 60 mph?????

Gears might get you to 60. For sure if you have upgraded the drive pulley.
So are you premixing the fuel? You will need those fan shrouds (engine cowls) for sure.
It looks like the stock carburetor/air box, no?

Yea the carb and airbox are stock i was looking at the ct manifold and a 24mm oko carb if it would fit....where do i find the upgraded drive pully???? Is that just a high speed variater???...yes i am premixing gas

Yes, the drive pulley and variator are the same in this instance. Gears are cheapest through RedEFT here on the forum. Treatland.tv is a good source for the intake. You will have to make a custom block off plate.

Thats an AF16 kick cover, af16 fan shroud on the pipe side that has been taken apart, the AF05 cover doesnt come apart like that, arrow hasnt made a pipe for the af05e for a long time if you do have one its worth a lot, one more thing that pipe is angled coming out the exhaust port in the direction the AF16 angles not the af05s.

If you guys need any more pics of the motor,kick start side...need me to remove any thing i am free today and can take apart better to take more pics so let me know what you need so we can determine what's powering this thing lol
