Awe come on Monkeywrench, you didn't answer his question. I'm interested too.
Is it rattle can spray paint or did you do it with a professional sprayer set up. Enamel? Acrylic? or?

What preparation did you make? I read somewhere that somebody wet sanded with 400 grit. I'm newby to painting and never really did a decent paint job except one time I couldn't afford a new bicycle for my daughter and bought a used bike at a garage sale and refurbished it. She's 36 now so it's been a few years.

I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

hah?yah! i rattled it to death. but its a good one. i went thru the whole process. and put 2 and a 1/2 cans of clear on it. sanded it down wet with a 1000 grit. then polished the * out of it. it took three days 2 do
p.s. o ya see the nice bird s*** splatter in the bottom photo and its a dupli.color brand cald metal specks.
costs 10 bucks a can but well worth it.

It reminds me of some mid-70s Japanese anime program like Battle of the Planets.

Now clean up the knee panel and floor board and paint the pipe and wheels and you are golden!

Hey I love it, I just said he needs to keep going because that great paint job looks out of place with that rusty muffler and wrinkley seat.
