Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

What is the compression of a spree motor supposed to be. I have spark and and getting gas from a good carb ( I know that its good because I've tested it on a working spree), but it won't start. I tested my compression, and I'm at about 80-85 pounds. Is that enough to start it?

I was told that it should start with that kind of compression but ideally you would want to be around 120psi. I'm willing to bet that if you pull the head you will find a stuck ring. I had the same problem with my SE50.
