what is this worth? its dirty in the pics owner cleaned it up.
is there any after market for this scoot?
what should i be aware of?
how easy is it to come buy replacement parts?
this is from the seller:
Ok, here's a few pics I took when I first got it. I disassembled it and degreased the motor and frame, so everything is apart....but that'll probably make it hella easier to ship. If you want, I'll pull everything outside this weekend and lay it all out and get pics of it for you.

i paid 300$ for mine, it was in about the shape, does it run?
there is little to no aftermarket for sb50, the stock motor is a derivative of the spree's as far as ive heard. they are a little faster than a spree, and parts are available. if you want to sell the rear rack, ill take it off your hands!!! i freakin love my elite e! its a fun little scoot for cruisin around town and such, but if you need more speed, af05e swap isnt that hard, but 35 or so is about tops for the stock motor.

Interesting. I'm in Missouri, and just bought an Elite E a couple of months ago. It's okay, but not too peppy. But then, I'm used to my Helix 250 which though heavier, does have the punch.

I wouldn't try and hassle with it too much for an Elite E, all the way from Missouri to Cali. I've had friends do it, but with "49 state" street bikes. I'm pretty sure you would have to pass an inspection at the DMV, and by the looks of it the lighting situation on that thing isn't optimal
If it were some crazy imported jdm model, then I'd be all over it like a fat kid on cake
I hate to pull a shameless plug, but it might help you with a decision...
I currently have a 1989 Elite E for sale, and it's in Cali (Central Coast). Runs good, looks good, has some scratches, but it's all there. Just renewed the registration thru March 2010. It has an aftermarket Polini pipe on it right now that is getting replaced with a stock muffler that has been cleaned and de-carbonized.

89 elite is pretty much a ship wreck unless you can make you're own parts
