Which muffler is better and why? se50 or sa50. Is it just the pipe sizes or something else?

the se50 had two different mufflers the se50p is a smaller pipe and acts as a restriction. i don't know about the sa50...

Yeah, I have an se50p with different muffler so i'm not restricted. Just wondering if the sa is better than the se. If it's just pipe size, I will do like chevyguyjay did...cut open se50 pipe and install bigger pipes. I'd really like an axpansion chamber designed for my motor but i'm not ready to figure out the design!

I was told in here that my stock unrestricted SA50 pipe is not as good on my scooter (94 SA50 SR) as the older ones ( maybe after someone derestricted it? ) would be for some reason. I was one day going to make a thread to uncover exactly why and the degree of improvement.

a 94+ honda elite S has the best pipe (once you take the washer out the top)

ah so its not older ones - its the ones on restricted dios that are better. What makes them better anyways?

big downpipe, and i believe something about the baffles.

it really comes down to what type of bike you have. The reason no one takes a dio pipe and puts it on a se50 is because the exhaust port on a se50 is angled differently.

I can get around the angle issue if the sa50 pipe will help it breath easier!
