Hi guys, first post just wanting to say hi and show the progress of my scoot rebuild. Was my sisters back in 89 and stored till 92 when I began sneaking it out ( I was 11 or 12 at the time). I legally got it in 94 and I began driving it :) then it sat stored from 96 till pretty much now. Has a little over 2K miles. Its dirty, flat rear tire and bent wheel, broken front and rear blinker lenses and headlight trim is all busted. Worst of all is the color. Its that very light purple silver color. Needles to say it it getting repainted...

So far I have cleaned and inspected all of the engine components from eyeball to *. everything is super clean, no rot in the houses, had a full reservoir of really clean oil, mixer was clean, carb still looked new after degreasing, tank was not rusted and but had some nasty gas in it so it got flushed. overall the engine was in great shape.

Wheels have been repainted and so have the brake assys
I chose to go cherry red on the wheels and flat black on the scoot. I have begun sanding all the plastics and prep them for primer/paint.

Here it is as it sits now. I don't have tubes and tires yet I ordered some Shenko SR550 whitewalls but they are on backorder :x I cleaned everything, painted all the body parts, installed a fresh AGM battery and I am about to install some new trick rear blinkers. sorry for the poor lighting in the pics but you get the idea...

Is there a way to bench test my oil mixing pump?I have been cranking the engine over while testing my electricals. Well today I changed the plug today to an 8 and I noticed the old plug had oil all over it. I know its oil because the fuel tank is bone dry. I guess that means its working correct? Just want to make sure its mixing properly...

done! For now...Finally drove her around tonight. It was kinda cold. Though i was in a wife beater and shorts with no shoes. Anyways she gets up really well, I was surprised. I think I gained a little more top end with the slightly larger tire. ho knows maybe it was the cooler weather... Seems a little quicker. Enjoy!
