my scoot was begining to surge and shake when i accelerated from a stop, so i took the belt cover off to discover my 3 week old bando belt looked like it had 2000 miles on it and was freyed in one spot. what do you think caused that? are those belts any good?

alright, thanks. i guess i'll take some emerycloth to the rear steel pulley in case its burred. the variator is new so it should be fine. hope it does the trick. has there ever been an alignment issue with the two pulleys? i put it together as it was stock. there's no washer or anything like that between the crank and variator that i could be missing is there? thanks again.
