I was having some trouble with bogging and I took the bystarter out of the carb and plugged it with my thumb, then let it loose to see the difference.
When I put the bystarter back in the bogging was gone. Woke up today and some gas has drained out onto the garage floor and the bogging is back. I ran it without the muffler yesterday thinking it was clogged, but it had the same thing with or without the exhaust.
The only thing I've been messing with is the screws on the carb. Drain screw is tight. I was trying to get the idle perfect because it cuts out and doesn't idle very well.
The ex port looks a little dirty, but it isn't clogged as far as I can tell (I didn't take the bike apart, just used mirror and flashlight)
Thoughts?
Bogging, gas draining, idle = dies

Its what i hear, but in my experience it doesnt, might depend on the engine but i know where there is a MAC 110 chainsaw thats been running without a muffler for 10 years and has no signs of excess wear. VERY cool to watch the fire inside the engine.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.
