84 Spree Bystarter

So my bystarter is shot, and I'm looking for a replacement. Where would be an ideal place to get a new one? Honda parts store? Do they even still make them? Is there a newer model that'll work with the spree? I saw one for an aero on ebay, but I don't know if it's compatible. Anyone think eBay is my best bet (aero or not)?
I'm really new to the mechanics on this, I will probably be asking a lot of dumb or obvious questions.
Any suggestions...?

You can order it from the Honda PowerSports dealer, part 16046-GK8-003. You should also be able to order it from

Beautiful. Any recommendations as to what I should also look at replacing/cleaning before getting it on the road? It's been sitting for a long time, I'm not sure what kind of initial maintenance it will really need to get it into shape. So far the only problem seems to be the bystarter, but I want to make sure I'm not overlooking something serious that should be checked.

I'd make sure gas/oil tank is clean, oil strainer is clean. I'd probably also replace the hoses as the stock ones are over 20 years old and they tend to dry rot and split. Clean the carb out real good, make sure the brake cables and shoes all work, and check the spark plug. Once you've got it running, the very first thing I'd do is bleed the oil lines and make sure oil is flowing, and check the oil pump bolt to make sure it is tight (the bolt tends to work itself loose quite often). Make sure you're using good 2-stroke injector oil, not chainsaw or weed whacker oil. You can get Honda GN2 oil from the Honda PowerSports dealer. Then, plug chop per instructions in the tech docs.
From there, it's just a matter of seeing if anything is not working properly and fixing it.

This is why you use good oil:
The whole right side of the port is completely clogged. This was a jug I pulled off a salvage motor yesterday.
