Guy has purple Honda Elite 50sr wrecked front damage. Was running when wrecked 2 years ago....has not been started since?

Missing front plastic and front fork is bent....everything else looks good with 3200 miles..

What is it worth?

Where do I buy forks...oem used or aftermarket new?????

What about front plastics?

I am a new member who just bought a 86 spree from another neighbor that is perfect with 1520 miles not running (missing carb and cdi). I bought a rebuilt carb and cdi from a guy on this forum and will install next week.

Thanks for advice

It was given to him after it was wrecked to fix and after calling the honda shop he found it too expensive for the forks etc and he has sat for 2 years..

I am picking it up monday for $50

I dont know any thing about scooters. I am 50 and have had 6 big motorcylces but need help with scooters for my kids.

What is this Elite 50 sr.......plastics with year is missing but purple seems to be 1996 -2000 from internet search...

What else can you tell me about these model years or a link for info...

Thanks

ok if its a 94-01 elite sr you have one of the best mopeds you can get. mine being a 92 and not as mod able i know.
for stock parts just go to honda, priced kinda high but its a good place to get them. very little waiting.

94-01 elites are known as dio's. a dio motor is a very fast motor. pending on how much you put into it it can go any were from 30-70mph. you can get higher then 70 but you have to change the crank and a few other mods that are a pain. VtCycles is the #1 place to get parts. i got all my parts from them and loved what i got. they there website is outdated but there number is on there, just call them and talk to them. they will tell you what will work the best and what they have. you can get a stock dio unrestricted and a gear change (under 50$ or so) to do 56MPH

50cc 94-01 are 2strokes
it all depends, you said your paying 50$ for the hole thing? thats a steal, they can go for 1000$ if they run/look good. they are very mod able so many people want them. fix it over the winter. when the snow melts every one will want one.

well this was the SR sticker on my 92. i think it was different from 94-01
Image
something i just noticed is on every 94-01 elite i have seen the belt cover is split able. like right in the center (up-down line were the back and be taken off with the front still on) however my 92 is all one piece. check that and tell me.

On the left side of the floorboard you will see a small panel, open it up and it will tell you what yr. you have.

i just posted in your other topic....
after market carbs are fun but cost around 160$ and unless you plain on putting on a bore kit its rather useless.

the CDI box on hondas are unrestricted. those ebay boxes are a scam. Unless you have really high powered coil.

derestrict itonce you get it running, your top speed and take off will be way different along with your over all power.
98 is a good year moped. like i said if its a 94-01 elite sr you have one of the best mopeds you can get

I bought a fork, wheel and tire off eBay for $49 plus $30 to drive 200 miles to pick it up and a new carb for $73 with shipping and tax.

I still need a front plastic if anybody has an idea. There is a large savage yard near Orlando but you have to go to see what is there so hopefully I will be completed and running next week.

Next is to start to trick it out like you guys or at least unrestrict.

Thanks for all the help. Did you guys check out the seller on eBay selling new carbs and other parts. I will let you know how that works out but sounds better than rebuilding old one.
