Heys Guys i need some help.
I got a spree from a guy who said it has not run in years. I checked the compression and it was 60 psi. I then got some gaskets and rings and did a top end job. Compression is grate now and has great spark but i cant get it to start. I have cleaned the carb 3 times. I have put gas a little gas down the spark plug hole and have tryed starting fluid but i cant get it started. Any ideas

did you clean the muffler? try dumping some gas down the intake instead. ifyou havent alredy try a new sparkplug even if the current one looks good

put a little engine oil in the spark plug hole. this should bump up your compression to get your engine to fire. also, smother your carb with your hand while tring to start it. once u get a little gas on your hand, take your hand away. thats manualy choking your carb.

Turn the key to the run position and quit huffing in the gas tank.
