If 90% of the island didn't ride like retards at all hours of the day and night this bill wouldn't have gone into effect. Unfortunately it seems there is an abundance of idiots on scooters there. You can't make 100 videos of people doing 80 mph and wheelies On HEAVILY used public roads everywhere and not expect something to happen. No one feels bad for you guys, it was brought upon themselves.

I have to agree with 1man. Every year in Hawaii too many scooter Riders we're getting killed.
And that countless numbers of complaints for loud pipes. It was just a matter of time before they did something.
It really sucks that they had to do that but it's for your own and the Public's safety.
Riding fast is fun. Riding at 30 mph in paradise I think it's great to.

But how hard is it to get a title there? Here you have to sell your left nut and get on the dmvs good side and kil your children to send the paper to the state just for them to come back and say no, try again. So after your out a nut and no kids you still dont have yout title and they also have the nerve to take 50 bucks out your pocket too!

no title cant register moped.. just as part only..
if you have elite sr ( dio motor) , elite sa50 88 to 93, yamaha jog 92 -01 and yamaha zuma 02-11 can ride on the highway..
the elite S, elite e (sb50) elite50 87, honda spree, yamaha razz, yamaha vino 2 stroke , is register as moped

The vino 2 stroke is very upgradable and I am surprised it is not on the highway list. I have upgraded a lot of vino's and you can get them to fly.
So basically you islanders have to register your upgraded elite sr ( dio motor) , elite sa50 88 to 93, yamaha jog 92 -01 and yamaha zuma 02-11 like a motorcycle right? You will also need a title. Did you not need a title before?
Well that takes the fun out of things. d*** you guys won't be able to use the japan tail and face no more. OMG that sucks. Hope you guys saved your stock lights. No more dio or tact in the islands. Very sad.

This may be bad for the aftermarket community, think, now hawaii, a pretty big source of scooter parts sales is now an last place to wanna onw an untitle bike. See here we dont have to get inspected unless the bike has been wrecked, the only inspection ive ever dealth with is epa emmisions for exhaust and nothing else.

Britain went through this about 50 years when the motorway speed limit was introduced in an effort to curb the ton-up boys antics and there's been a war on motorcyclists ever since.
