Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

Hi guys! I was riding along just fine when all of a sudden for no reason it lost power and started to run really rough. Now it idles just fine and will run great until you sit on it and try to go. As soon as you try to get it to go under weight it bogs down and dies. Carb need to be cleaned or could it be something else? Any help appreciated. At the moment it's my only transportation and I MISS IT!

1988 Honda Elite ES (sb50).

I've read a few other posts about similar problems and I'm guess it needs anther good carb cleaning. Come to think about it the last time I took the side covers off to clean it I noticed the bolts holdin the carb on were loose but I just tightened them up and it ran fine for a few weeks until this happened. Too dark to see outside now but I'll clean it tomorrow when the sun comes up and see what happens.
