When looking at the flywheel, which direction does it turn?
Clockwise or counter-clockwise?

If you see how it could only turn one way in order to move the scooter forward...I would say it's counter-clockwise. If you remove the LHS cover, and spin it by hand, you will see what I mean.

The rear wheel needs to spin counter-clockwise in order for scoot to go forward (Looking at it from LHS). But I can't tell if flywheel needs to spin in the same direction as the tire or not... Can anyone tell me for sure?

Thx!

Oh, good call. I don't know if it's a direct or inverse relationship.

If you look on the flywheel it will have an arrow telling you the direction it spins in. Im not sure but if memory serves me correct. It should be clockwise, but i would check the flywheel.

I am almost certain it is counterclockwise.

The fan has fins like a backwards C shape that grab the air and throw it upwards. It most definately turns counterclockwise. I went out and kicked it over and it spun counterclickwise. 100% sure. Here are pics of it on one of my websites.

The FLYWHEEL (behind the fan) rotates CLOCKWISE
The pulley assy (left side of bike) rotates opposite (CCW)

Thank You!

Great comments everyone, Thank You! Sounds like I was referring to the pulley assembly, on the left side of the bike, and from what I gather, it rotates CCW. I also found out that the starter motor turns CW, so that would mean the big pulley gear would turn CCW.

Unfortunately, my theory didn't work, and the Spree still won't start. :( But I guess I should start a new thread for that...
