84 spree starts fine but bogs down at full throttle

i have a 1984 honda spree and when i bought it it ran fine but then the next day i took it out it started fine then at wot it bogs down and dies? i got a new plug new gas and oil full. i have no clue why it would do this any tips would help

Sounds like an air leak possibly. Make sure the air filter lid is on tight and look for any cracks in the filter box and tube going to the carburetor. Look for a tight connection on the inlet and side of the carburetor and make sure the mounting bolts on the intake manifold are snug. I'd start with that.

Is the complete air cleaner in place with good filter? If not you now know why it won't run.
