Honda Spree and Elite 50 Forums

Hi, I have a 94 elite 50 that is acting up.
At 3/4 to full throttle it spits and sputters a little and dosen't reach full throttle, the filter is clean and a new plug, I am thinking I may have to adjust the carb a bit, anyone know which screw I need to adjust? top or bottom? in or out? No clue here.

What size main jet do you have? 3/4 to full throttle should be dominated by it.

Anything that is externally adjustable will have no effect on a 3/4 throttle issue.

the whole bike is stock.

clean your carb, sounds like the top of the main jet valve may have buildup blocking it. check wikispreedia for a carb cleaning tutorial. use a pencil or chop stick to tap the main valve out starting at the top.
