Hi Guys since i got my UE i took apart the carb to clean it, and discovered the pipe from the air intake and the foam itself was missing from the air box....

i brought a piece of radiator hose and put a decent sized breather on it but it fell off cause i didnt have a clamp on it and i lost it.

after reading several posts seems like to not burn out a piston or to make lean i outta just stick to the standard airbox. Does everyone agree, i was thinking of getting another hose and putting a sponge type filter on it, or any other filter that would improve performance??, any suggestions or advice guys. thank you.

In my short time here I can tell you that the members here will recommend you keep the stock air box and filter for the best performance and longevity.

As for finding a filter you can always look on E-bay.

The stock air box is the way to go for a couple reasons.

1 way quieter than a free flow or open fliter.

2 The carb jetting is set just right for it. You could run lean without it.

ok now i guess i have to start working on getting the elbow tube for the air intake and the filter itself. if anyone has this pipe please let me know.
