will an 84-85 choke work on a 86-87 spree if i change the plug?

Isn't the '87 a one wire affair? In the parts fiche they are different.

The the later version had a single connector with 2 wires. Some '86's got that bystarter too. If you want a drop in, no fuss item, get the correct year, but splicing in the old connector is not a problem for many.Isn't the '87 a one wire affair? In the parts fiche they are different.
