2001 Honda Elite SR over fueling and loading up

2001 Honda Elite SR over fueling and loading up, it loads up (smokes) and bogs down at takeoff until you get to higher speeds then takes off and runs good. Cleaned the carb X4, exhaust is not plugged, Any idea's???? please help.

Adjust the idle mixture and idle speed screws, since they are the ones controlling low speed fuel. It is possible your needle is too high.

already tried adjusting the carb. by the screws. it idles great, starts right up. is there any other adjustment on the needle/barrel in the carb?

The needle controls mid-range, you have to lower it to lean out the mid-range.

Read this thread down towards the bottom under "Engine tuning" and "READING SPARK PLUGS and JETTING and PLUG CHOPS
