what exactly would i need to make an 85 aero 50 able to be kickstarted? the one year that honda thought that they didnt need to put a kickstarter on it.

I was looking for crank case covers and found an 83 cover but the kickstarter hole is closer to the clutch than the variator. thats different than the 86 and up aero covers which have the kickstarter hole closer to the variator...correct?

You can get one from the 86-87 aero,87 elite 50 and 88-93 elite lx/sr. and your going to need the face drive off of these bikes because it has the teeth for the mushroom gear to grab onto.

thanks, is there a build thread for your 87? if not, what motor are you running?

yeah there is a build thread for my 87 elite.I have a af16e out of a 94-01 elite s or the dio engine as everyone refers to it as.
