NH80 (aero 80) performance wanted.
So I had my heart set on a 94+ swap, but this swap fell into my lap, and i was quoted 100$, pretty decent engine. seems like it was the father of the 94+ elite engine, i know the intake manifold bolts up, the reeds are the same, 12mm wrist pin.
questions- does anyone know if there are bore kits for it, how the intake and exhaust ports are, compared to the 94+elite
btw this is going in a 84 spree.
in sept.

the aero's are 2stroke
all NH (80,90,100,125) aero's are 2stroke.
and the NB50 aero50 is also a 2stroke.
the CH series elites are 4stroke.

mild older aero 80 build up.
what i'd really like is a 84' aero125 swap, but finding those are about as likely as finding a sk50 (94+ elite) with corsa kit in a yard sale.
Lead / Aero ch80 - capable of 40-45mph stock
Lead / Aero ch125 - capable of 60mph stock
so as you can see i would think in a lil' spree these engines would be a nice cheap upgrade, but ive also heard from a local 50cc honda fan, the aero's use bigger rear wheels than the 50cc elite/spree, and look similer to the CH elite's.

yep, i need to look into the bore and piston design, im thinking with similarities of the sk50 and it in design, its possible, it just has a longer stroke, than the elite, yet similer intake / exhaust ports and piston,
i need to go down to honda, and ask to see each of their head gaskets.
for comparison.

i too might be getting an aero 80 soon myself. i plan to keep it put together as an Aero80 but would be interested in performance mods for the motor, variator exhaust etc....
this is all very contingent. (if i get it, the guy who owns it is out of town and him nor his family havent ridden it for 5 years)

the post i listed is verys useful
it gives ideas for intake, exhaust, carb, reed valves.
the only thing i really am in need of knowing
is the similarities of the sk50 to see if i can use their bore kits, or if another supplier would be helpful.
ENGINE SPECS FOR COMPARISON (ANYONE HAVE SK50 SPECS?)
Engine Type Air cooled two stroke
Cylinder arrangement single cylinder (15 deg from vertical)
Bore x Stroke 48 x 44 mm
Displacement 80 cc (4.88 cu in)
Compression ratio 6.8:1
Transmission oil 0.09 litre 10W-40W Honda 4-stroke oil or equivalent
Oil tank 1.2 litre of two stroke (2T) oil
Lubrication system oil injection from remote oil tank
Cylinder pressure 142-200 psi
PORT TIMING
Intake open and close reed valve controlled
Exhaust open 80 deg BBDC
Exhaust close 80 deg ABDC
Scavenge open 55 deg BBDC
Scavenge close 55 deg ABDC
Exhaust duration 160 degrees
Scavenge duration 110 degrees

Did you guys see the tuned exhaust / expansion chamber design program listed in tech docs?
