ill try to get pics. but there are 2 4in. pipes behind the tail that the bar fits into. the whellie bar has stops that stop the bars from going only so far in the pipes. there are also 2 pins (one in each bar) that hold them in. remove these pins and the bar comes off, and the pipes are hiddin behind the tails.

the only problem i hav found is because i wanted it removable/adjustable, is there cant be a 3rd brace which i hav found can really help. it tends to flex a little when u first hit it to the ground. i also reccomend BIG STRONG welds to be safe.lol

Vette,
Sounds like you've got your first Spree-related item for sale. Why not make a few up and sell them?

the problem, is i need to find a way to make it a bolt on piece. the way i hav mine on my bike requires welding the "hitch" part to the frame.
i will think this over tho. good point. thanks.

Yea me and my friend were riding and got pulled over by a dam sheriff. I was on my near mint 1985 Honda Spree Iowa and he was on my dads 49cc x2 pocketbike and we were flyin threw a new house development and all the sudden i see red and blue in my mirror. I was like oh s*** and kept on going till he got on the side of us and told us to pull over. He asked if we had liscenses for them and we said no so he told us to take them home or he will impound them. So i took them home for the night and we went riding again in the morning. Remember we were riding our scoots like at 12 at night. What a blast but them dam cops suck.

Just got this from someone here via PM. He was asking me about WA state moped licensing. If he want to chip in futher I'll let him, otherwise I'll keep it anon.
I live in spokane washington and was recently pulled over driving my 1987 honda spree,i am borrowing it do to the fact that my driver licence is susspeneded. anyway when the cop asked for my licence he said that the bike was considered a moped and should have a licence plate and also i needed a valid d.l.. I ended up with a driving while sup.2Nd, 100 ticket for no lic. plate,100$failure to not stop at traffic sign and 100$ not using my signal and they had the scooter impounded.

i got pulled over by a cop once on my spree. Im 37 and they ran my licence and told me i couldnt ride this scooter on this road cuz it wasnt fast enough...........just then a guy with a bike went riding by and i just looked at the cop and she let me go.... i get it,,,,,,,,,, but if you were riding a dirtbike you deserve the ticket. they are illegal on the road. That bar looks like you can get the front wheel up about 6"
You won't get anywhere near balance point

On something with serious power it is possible to do a backflip from over wheelieing.
