Ain't that the truth. So... Base, Kenny, yall' gonna come up north and ride with us in the northlands? We've got a few REALLY nice backroads and near-weekly rides of 8-12 scooters. Lakeshore road and M22 are an amazing ride in the summertime...

Methinks we Michiganders need to organize. The two biggest regional groupings of forum members are the Hawaiians and us. We have a dragstrip and winding, well tended roads in the greater Manistee area. And lots of typical * Michigan roads.

its kind of hard to see because my pipes been cut and welded so many times but there are 4 sections to the stock pipe it starts out small and progressively grows larger

so all i would need to do is cut the outer part of the muffeler off and attach another chamber ???
i do have this hp exaust for a razz and i was gonna use that muffeler and my pipe .. would that be kinda the same concept

nice pipe how well did it work on the razz? i guess i should come fourth and just say that i found the
widestt and IMO strongest powerband when i kept all of the original pipe but if you want a purely topend pipe you can cut and weld up near the header or right before the muffler so that if you want to go back to stock your muffler aint screwed like mine is

heres some pics of how my pipe used to look back when my stock jazz could beat the gold pipe aero off the line and what i did to the muffler for the better black pipe

i highly recommend making a larger glass pack muffler like the one i made which will be unbelievably quiet BTW and will give better performance than a baffled muffler but you don't have to make yours out of a brake cleaner can

also having the stinger start about 4 or 5 inches into the expansion pipe helps quiet them down a bit too... i should just make a youtube vid about my pipe but then i would need to get an account and learn how to upload a vid

that i never had it on a razz .. also that would help alot if you mad a video .. because im a lil confused.. so should i try and make the pipe as short as i can??

personally i would leave the pipe as long as possible i.e. chop up the muffler since it will give the most usable powerband but it would be alittle less work if you just cut the pipe before the muffler so your muffler is reuseable p.s just think short= topend, long= lowend

Without a lot more experience than myself I would not even consider building a pipe. It is half high science and half black magic and even if you have read and understand Gordon Jenning's book it is still not for those new to 2 strokes. For a Spree Taz will soon have a pipe and the other scooter all have some sort of pipe available. Just save your pennies and get something that will work better than than a stock pipe. But there is no such thing as a pipe that will boost off the line performance and add 5 mph on the top end.
