Hey nice tutorials, I'm thinking off doing this now..plus it makes it look cool imo

Since the shroud is curved on the elite, unlike the shroud you used in your example video..I'm going to have to make holes because the curve wouldn't allow the the hose clamp to stay on I'm thinking and if it did I don't see it holding it very well..or would there be another way as I don't want to make any holes in the shroud?

i really dont know. drilling holes isnt so bad considering that it will last forever. its not like a 1 year thing. plus you can get away with 3-4 zip ties.
but non-the-less i dont blame you

the only thing I can think of right now is using caulk or something like that on the outside and shape it to square it out..sure some type of hardener would work alot better as it wouldn't be squishy like the caulk would be but if a mistake came along or someone would want to go back to the normal way it would be as easy as pulling of the caulk..and maybe a little scrubbing at it'll be "brand new" compared to the hassle of removing the hardener..maybe I'll try this a report on it later. I'm not quite sure yet. stupid I know but at least I wouldn't have to make any holes..wow I'm weird

i dont know, my first one was held on by a plastic glue we use at my work. super strong stuff. i fell and it busted but i couldn't get it off for the life of me. the zip-tie is more realistic because if you bust it,you can cut the zip ties and make a new one

plus it takes a lot to break the zip ties so it will last the longest and for a few holes its the most reliable way to do this "mod"

i ride the * out of my elite and i only had one problem on mine. that was when i ran into a friend and dumped it at 35mph.
it broke the plastic fin but i just cut the zip tie to get the broken plastic off. made a new one. zip tied my new on one and every things good since
