previous owner had 7,8,7,8,7,8 combo. way to heavy
clutch has green springs and is maxed the f out. might try the yellow springs after the lighter weights.
my ruima variator was a b**** to get on and off. the ramp plate is like the same exact size as the crankshaft so you really gotta jimmy it to get it off or on. not cool.

I was trying to race that 171 again the other day and after holding wot for awhile I let off. When I tried to get back on it the throttle didn't respond and then something caught, I'm thinking the belt, the rear wheel locked up and the bike shut off. Then I rolled to a stop. All this happened at 50+ mph. This has only happened once before

The rear wheel locked up at 50 and you made it out unhurt is awesome. Lucky!

It locked up, killed the motor and then un locked and I rolled to a stop. Maybe variator and belt. The ruima gets like stuck on the crank shaft

I have felt that same thing happen before too. I seized after WOT trying to see how fast I could go. I was on my Gilera Runner with a 172cc two stroke engine. Somewhere around 75mph it seized and that stopped the belt from turning which stops the tire from turning because the clutch is engaged. Eventually the clutch releases and you cost to a stop.

The bike fired right bike up once I got stopped. I don't think I'm seizing the piston, at least I hope not!

He said he would reinbure me for the cylinder so that's cool. Good thing I ordered an Athena bore with G9 last week.
Just sucks cause I was gonna reuse this cylinder on second dio build. Now I dunno what to do with that

The elite rips and the plug is perfect. It's a bit of a dog on the bottom. Like gutless. How does one go about getting on the polini yellow springs on the clutch?
