listen dude!
You need to calm down. We are all here to help. Just because you hate your bike and want to tear it apart and make it different. Doesn't mean you have to Snap on some of the members here who are telling you what you need to know!
Face the facts. You dont know what you are talking about.
You think that you can just slap that tank on there and you are good to go. Do you even know what a petcock is? What are you going to do for a Vac. line? If you are going to run without a Vac. line then it must be higher then your carb. BUT WAIT> the floor board is below your carb! So you are going to have to rig up a fuel pump!
But you also have to get one that wires into your bike (not going to happen) and you have to get one that matches how much you have the gas handle turned. (also not going to happen).
And, even if you did some how manage to do all of the things above it (never going to happen) you would need a large amount of cash to start with.
Dude, just put whats left of your elite back together and sell it. Then get a ruckus or something else that fits your standers. Doing what you want to this bike is going to cost more then a ruckus anyway.
I like all the ideas. But honda did what they did for a reason!

Ok first off, no need for the language so lets keep it clean folks. Dont hate on the kid for throwing out inovative ideas.
Personally I like the idea of a floorboard gas tank and it has been done on several dio and jog style race bikes I've seen. As noted its usually done to centrelize and lower center of gravity which always helps when you get into the super light race setups.
Installing such a tank would not be too difficult if you have a fuel pump, as long as it pumps at just the right rate for your carb. vac line at carb could just be capped off.
