How does the power not go through the switch if is "ground fed" what do you mean?

If the switch is in the circuit, current flows though it.

Are we really asking this, just kidding. Connect one lead to ground, connect the other end of grounded lead to switch side, connect the other side of the switched side to the negative side of the device. You will not have positive voltage through this lead ...never ever, nor will you ever be able to short the fused side. Its the same as a vast majority of ecu wiring dynamics. Fuse side constant power and use ground switched remote, look at majority of vehicles fuel injection, the injector is fired by a ground fed signal and the positive sides are fed via fuses, relays etc, but do not ever cycle because it is done through ground.

Fuse holder -7.99 and readily available at wally worlds universal
regulator - 24.99 used and weeks or at least days to get the replacement.
Use your brain and put a fuse in line with any extra crap.
thanks for the advise guys! im new at this but plan i messing with LED mods for life, my switch is grounded but thankfully i havent blown anything yet either!
