Can not get above 20 mph on NQ50

I know it has been awhile since I have checked in but have a new problem with my scooter. I got it back form the shop and have cleaned the carb more thasn a few times. I was riding it one day when I left off the gas and put it back under throttle and no it seems like it does not have the tourqe it had before. I had it going like 25-30 now it wont go over 20. I have again cleaned the carb and ran it since this has happened and still no tourqe. Can anyone help me with ideas. Thanks. Tim

Did you do anything else besides clean the carb? Have you tried a new plug? Is there any sounds that you didn't hear before?

Have not tried a new plug yet. No there is no new sounds while it is running or under throttle. I will try a new plug thanks.

ok got new plug and put it in. You all are not going to beleive this but I get more power on a hill then I get on the flat. It will pull right up a hill but studders on the flats. any ideas???

Clean muffler.

ok how can I clean out the muffler. the only way I know how to clean out a muffler is pour gas in it and light it off. Anyone have a better way. Thanks.

Lye (draino) dissolves carbon. Setting it in a campfire and rinsing out the ash the next day works.
