By the way.... laws are a whole lot stricter now then they were then. Get caught for instance drinking and driven in 1987 and it was a slap on the wrist and now its loss of license, fines or even jail time.

No i grew up in the 80s to i was 16 in 87 i couldnt ride around in the streets with a scooter unless i had a DL. i wont let my kid do it either. now i will let him ride it on my property. He is able to ride VERY good and could out ride me on a dirt bike but the law is the law and i dont break it.

I rceived my moped licence when I was 15, I will find it and post it for you! You only had to be 15 not 16.

At least in Michigan, I dont know about anywhere else

I would let me kids ride scoots if:

A) I had any
B) They weren't breaking a multitude of Ohio laws

Unfortunately scoots are considered motorcycles here so you've got to have a M class license and everything. Makes it a real bummer for all of us.
