Ill get it started....

So i was out racing a friend today, going about 50-55. and my rear tire blew out. Ill be honest, fish tailing an elite at 50mph really made me think about how stupid half the stuff i do is.

I was able to stop without crashing do to some random dumb luck. My friend i was racing with locked up his brakes to back off so he didnt slam into me.

im broke right now so im not sure how long it will be before that bike is back on the road. Im really not to bummed tho'. Now i will have some time to do a few things to the motor i have been waiting to do.

Don't feel bad, i rode yesterday and when I got stopped near the end of my ride, I realized my turn signal broke off. Dunno how. The bracket held on was aluminum so I imagine it got shaken to death. Sucks
Always a work in progress.

Tires are cheap and easy to install.

Sucks about that Dac, lucky to save it at 50mph  I had a rear tire blow out on my very old spree at 25mph and just barely coasted, not a fun feeling
projects galore :nerd:

I went out to this chicks house yesterday. By the time i left her house it was like pitch black out, i couldnt see anything. So im doing like 45mph or so down this sh*tty * road, Hitting all these pot holes.
All of a sudden the elite starts to slow down, i had to give it more and more gas to hold 45. At this point in time im getting close to my house so i just hurry up and get home.

Get up this morning to go over the damage and find this...

Took the spree out around the hood today with tighter steering, running at 29mph as stable as the wind allowed :D

Need to get to the SOS ASAP and get a sticker.

Sportsters and Sprees

Post by Wheelman-111 »

Greetings:

Weekend in Yellarosa - had to fire up Ms. WheelPerson's and my Sportsters. Both batteries were close to dead. About 3 years in this heat is Al they can stand.

Her 883 got a 15 minute residential ride in 1st to finish charging up. My 1200 S got a half-hour in up to 3rd gear for about 50 MPH on the boulevard.

It's easy to forget how danged heavy these bikes are after a few weeks of Aero-nautics. I can U-turn the Aero inside of a parking space. Barely able to do the same on a residential street riding the HDs.

Back in Deepinnaharta, I took the Aero for a spin. Same 50 MPH, deeper sense of accomplishment. Ran between 325 and 375 the whole time.
