Gears for an 84 Aero 125 (NH125)?

Post by AerosRule »

This is the best forum I've found for mods for the little brothers of my bike. I have hop-up fever with my recently ported Aero 125 and I need gears and a pipe to match the porting and 30mm OKO carb kit. Of course no one lists parts for it, but I know that at least the gears must match other bikes. A guy just was selling an Aero 125 tranny on Ebay, and his had straight-cut all of the way with a 15-tooth primary and 44-tooth final. My stock is 14 primary helical to a press-fit 33-tooth secondary with another 14-tooth straight cut to a spline fit 36 tooth final. I need ratios 40-50% taller. I know someone on this forum could help. It looks like I can't attach a file here, but the link to my PDF doc with full pics and specs is post # 8 at http://www.provoscooter.com/vbull/showt ... hp?t=14657

Oh, yes - people have already told me my belt is not riding all of the way up my variator. I have new weights, stock and malossi lighter ones, and no matter what I never get the belt more than like 2/3 up in the front - its a new stock one, it uses a 788 17 28 belt. Any ideas there? Nothing restricted...can I cut down the boss a bit?

Help a brother out please?

OK, the link at the end here has un updated PDF with corrected info - Primary drive bearing is 6204, not 6201 and rear driven shaft has 18 splines, not 19.
