Mine had this problem the little ports on the lid that let the air in were plugged up with a mixture of dirt and oil.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

what does your foam filter look like? it is the factory one right? clean it with some soap and warm water, then re-oil it. dont saturate it though. ring it out good. its sounding to me that u still have carb issues. hows your spark plug? is it a ngk? whats the gap? that color is it burning? black? brown? u want a nice light to gold brown. check your gap. im curious :? keep us informed in what your doin. ill keep trin to help ya get that scoot goin. :wink:

Ok...the hoopty is alive, and well (so far!). I rode it yesterday for about an hour straight!! I think I just didn't have the air and idle screws adjusted right.

Right now it doesn't have an airfilter at all. But, I ordered a stock one from Honda that should be in in a couple days. So, once I get that, put the lid on, I'm sure I'll have to adjust it again.

It seems to run real good. It's a dog on take off from a dead stop, but get's up to about 26-27, and on a good flat will hit 30-31...so, that's good, right??

I haven't pulled the plug since I've got it running to see what color it is...I need to do that this weekend.
