original weights CH250 ELITE 250 1990 (L)

Post by kosta »

Hello,
I have a question about the roller set, weights for Elite CH 250, year 1990.

I was buying an original Honda set , Honda number 22123KM1316. One weight is here about 28 gram, so 168 all 6 ones.
I read always about 23 gram/ 1 piece, that shall be used for this model, also in CH250.net.

Does anyone know the right weight/ what gram is needed in original?

Thanks for information and sorry for my German English....

Greetings Konstantin

Those are a commonly swapped out part. Lower weights will increase the RPM of shift point, along with changes in clutch spring.

No idea which is stock on yours but fortunately you should be able to get them in any reasonable weight you want. My guess is the 23g is an aftermarket set, and the Honda ones are supposed to be 28g.

Hello Noiseguy,

Okay, thanks for the answer. I was just surprised that the original Honda part number mentioned is often listed online as 23g.

Depends on the source. I'd take the measured weights taken from an unmodified bike over other information.

Much of aftermarket online pushes consumers to "common" values, and 23g looks like the most popular sold roller weight for Honda scooters. That doesn't mean the 23g wouldn't be an improvement.
