Stock AF16E '96 Elite SR

My stock '96 Elite SR doesn't have an air filter at the moment. Right now I have the Air screw turned out not quite half a turn. Does this sound about right?

Look up specs in service manual here http://hondaspree.net/wiki/index.php5?t ... ce_Manuals
And, yea, you really need the air filter, soak it in 2-stroke oil, then squeeze out excess. Do not run without one it runs lean and can burn up the motor. Here is one from a famous forum member viewtopic.php?f=2&t=27924
I buy mine here also. Very fast service.

Thanks for the replys guys. Ive been driving for 600miles now without one. Like i said above i only have screw backed out less than half a turn. Its been running really good. Top speed with wind at my back down hill 49mph. Only add variator. I still have the airbox and cover installed. I will be sure to add one if this is going to burn the piston up.

Drove next town over(Lexington,Ky) to z50r-ghost's moped shop. He cut me some blue UNI foam for $4. Can't beat that! Thanks :lock:
