throttle cable carb end length
I have purchased a new throttle cable. I connected the cable to the throttle end. I go to the carb end. I only have an inch of exposed cable left. I have all the joints tightened. What am I doing wrong?

An inch sounds too short. What model scooter do you have? Maybe someone can help with a measurement of a good cable for your model.
We have only the Elite SB50 measured on the 'wiki, and it's got 2" free cable before being connected at the grip end.

I have an 83 nh80 with a ct intake and oko carb. I was off about the length. I did have a few inches. I finally got the cable installed. The problem is now if I turn the handle bars right it revs the throttle. Does that seem like a short throttle issue?

Not for certain sure the issue, but worth checking if the cable housing is getting bound up and temporarally stretched when the handlebars are turned to the right...The problem is now if I turn the handle bars right it revs the throttle. Does that seem like a short throttle issue?

thanks, some jostling around made a difference. I think I just need to go back in and be more mindful of placement.
