01 honda elite sr50 stator removal problems

i cant get this thing off. im replacing the stator anyhow so i bought a small gear puller and it fits into the slots but all i acomplished was ruining a new puller. is there something im missing?

Thanks bonesv, pulling from the flywheel internal threads is what Honda service manual shows. It's reliable and goof proof, I recommend this style of puller, and use them.

im sorry i should have been more specific. will this remove the plate covering the actual stator? even if this just pulls the stator its definately worth buying. i ordered one thank you.

Yes, The puller removes the round spinny stator cover plate in a reliable manner. Honda and the most of us cal it the flywheel. Good start to acquire the proper tool :thumbwink:
