i'm trying to derestrict my variator on my HONDA Elite SR 1998 but i cannot find a right tool to block the variator in order to remove the nut. I do not have an impact wrench. Maybe I can make my own tool or find something cheap at walmart?

If you want a tool that self-locks and leaves both hands free to work the nut, try This Thing. You can file a notch in the "legs" of the tool to engage the teeth of the outer pulley sheave. The backside of the tool has little posts that engage the holes in the clutch bell too. Single tool fits in your glove-box for roadside emergency belt swaps.

Most of my money is spent on scooterparts. The rest is just wasted.
