screw adjustment
i read the adjustment recemendations for my scooter and it said for 1 1/2 turns. ok i do that and it still doesnt have the same power. so i richen it up. then it has even less power. so i reset it and this time lean it out. then it has more power but still dosent run right.

also at one time it wouldnt run at all. i decided it was dirt in the carb so i took it to get the carb rebulit. when i got it back it ran but it was never the same. before i could get on it start (started easily) it and go no warming up had plenty of power to plus no smoke from the exaust. but now i have to warm it up, it sometimes pours out white smoke and has much less power, and is hard starting.

carb clean
did u take the carb apart and thread the tiny holes with a guitar string? that's what i did. then I got some carb cleaner and sprayed the heck out of it. My scooter was having similar problems before that. and that carb adjustment of 1 1\2 turns is correct if stock. maybe you have performance mods?

Okay check this site out. The info here helped me alot. www.scootertherapy.com . Cruise thru the site for maintenance info. They have a good pic of a spree carb all dissassembled there. use it to take yours apart and find out whats missing or wrong. very helpful. Sounds like you have an adjustment problem where the throttle cable attaches to the carb on top. Just fiddle with it for an hour or two in very small increments. don't be afraid of hurting your fingers.
