NB 50 carb question.

Post by Aeromatics »

May have damaged carby over cleaning it. I see them listed on ebay for 30 bucks new. But they always say for a 1986 model, and i have a 1985. Will this carb fit on my bike?

Yes, but why do you think your carb is screwed?

It clogs non stop. Only works for a week after being cleaned. Considering replacing to see if problem stops. While im at it, i've noticed bear talk about new fuel lines and adding a fuel filter... Might not be a bad idea to add this as well. Where can i purchase these items, and where do you install the fuel filter?

Did you replace the fuel lines? If not there is your problem. 25 year old fuel lines will not stand up to the caustic fuels of today. I prefer clear lines as you can see what is going on inside them. Replace the vacuum line while you are at it and install an inline fuel filter.

Honda part number, 16910-GB2-900

The clean the carb again.

It should bolt up, but may not be tuned same as OEM carb. The clone carb I got awhile back had parts interchange issues with OEM parts sutch as float/float needle, emulsion tube.
