Honda elite 2001 50 s upgrades

Post by hondaspree123 »

Hey everyone I'm trying to make y new royalty stock elite do about 45-50. I don't want a bore kit or anything just some simple upgrades. A list of them and a price would be great!!! Also what is a good rear tire? Thanks

dont mind listening to d.....

There are many other posts about elite upgrades. If you want some help we are going to need to know more about your scooter. What model is it? Does it have variated motor, is it restricted, etc? All of these will help us help you. I personaly dont know to much about elites but many people on here can help you with that, but they will need to know a little more info. THanks!

If its a '96 or newer elite you can get the speeds you're looking for with just a aftermarket variator and swapping to 9:1 gears.

If its older, then 50mph becomes more complicated.

You mean `94 and newer, right?
We can learn much from wise words, and less from wise guys.

The more info that you supply = the easier it is for us to help.
With that being said...

That's great to see that you've gotten a Honda Elite. These are great fun to have.

I'd ask that you seriously think about your bottom line goals? Will you be satisfied with just 45mph? or do you really want 50mph? Would you even be satisfied with just 40mph+?

The simplest upgrades would be to buy an aftermarket variator.
ebay $30.10, $35.95, $37.50, $39, $47.99, $53, $57, $114.99
The $35.95 did not come with rollers.

ebay Rollers are priced $10 ~ $20, $25, $34.99, $37.99, $43
Rollers are recommended with the new aftermarket variator.

A new set of gears are recommended as well. The gear set will depend on what your absolute bottom line goals are.
45mph? or 50mph?

Fine tuning of the carb will be recommended as well.

The variator & rollers, and new gearset should net you nudge you pretty close if not match your 45mph but it all depends on variables again (riders weight, streets/roads being ridden on, is the road flat or hills?, even elevation and time of year...

I hope this helps somewhat. Have a great day. :thumbwink:
