I get spark.
I got compression.
I just put new rings in.
I cleaned the carb.
It was running, then it stopped.
The carb is getting gas.
Any ideas?

It may be getting too much gas. Check your float. Check gas valve under your tank to make sure it is not stuck open. Try a new plug.

The frame is a 86.
4500 miles.
The reed has a chip in it. But it is on the side.
So the reed is closed all the way around.
The cylinder is a 85. with ports opened a little.
I'll have to check the the parts frame.
The intake has been opened up to.
Breather for an airfilter.
It came with oil. it apears to be proper oil. blue.
The guy that at the honda shop said that I needed a 4 plug. it had a 6.
I put the new sparkplug in and it ran.
Around the block
Around the block
down the steet
Around the other block
Then I pushed it home
The plug was brown.
I think I got a weak spark. how do I check this?
The spark I got is a fine red line.
Should I get a new recoil? I got a high preformance recoil in this house some where. 500,000v or a 1,000,000v forget wich. Should I try that?

The plug you should be using is a NGK BPR6HS. You should be getting a blue spark.

Blue oil isn't usually injector oil, the red stuff is. If you're not sure, dump/purge the blue stuff and refill with known oil.
