Greetings:

Welcome, fellow Scooterphile.

A lot depends on how/if your "new" Spree is running now.

Mods to the stock engine can take it from 30-ish to 40-ish, but only at some cost to take-off performance, reliability, longevity and Wallet.
Sometimes Stock is pretty good.

A new spark plug, belt, tires and air cleaner element never hurt. Consider ne tires if yours are from 1983.

Read everything Spree in Tech Sections, and consider what you want/need your Spree to do.

There is no performance exhaust at this time, unless you build one yourself. Taz (Tazland001 here on the forum) says he is working on one but so far he has the Big Bore Kits (BBK) for the Spree plus an adapted bigger intake system.

Same guy, only if you contact him thru the forum by PM he will give you a better deal. There is also a 48 mm BBK, but until the exhaust is available you can not get the most out of it. Oh and whichever BBK you get also get the gear upgrade because the BBK will only minimally increase your top speed without the gears.

At this rate half the forum is going to be from the Manistee area!
Welcome to the forum. I'm sure I'll be seeing you around, as this is a pretty small town.

 Wait, you're not the dude I chased down that lives by hospital hill, are you?

I am pretty sure I passed by you on US31 yesterday. I was headed in the opposite direction.

I waved at you :hi: but I don't know if you saw me.
