Maybe just tighten it up?

The spring inside the front brake hub returns the brake lever back.

Use nu finish scratch doctor on the plastics. Takes out any haze, scratches and gives it an amazing shine.

Thanks for the tip, I will check it out when I go to the auto parts store next. I could use that then wax over it for extra shine!
I think I am going to paint the wheels too, they are a little rusty in places and I have to replace the tires so they will be bare anyway.

White wheels would be a nice contrast with the red.
Thanks for the rear rack offer, before you dig through your stuff, I was thinking of doing something like this guy with the rear signals ( viewtopic.php?f=16&t=12616&start=15 ) I like the sleeker look. I could then just cut the bent part of my rack off. What do you think?

Also, still looking for some help from anyone with my questions in my last post on page 1.

Sounds like you're referring to the drain tube and the bystarter hold down plate. Did you try trafficjamz advice for the brake?

I am going to work on the scooter today, its stored over at my grandparents place in their nice basement. No room over here at my apartment.

I will tighten up the cable, I looked over the assembly diagram and it looks like there is a spring inside as well, so when I disassemble to change the tire, I will check on its condition.

Yes, the one piece is the bystarter hold down plate, and that little screw goes with that.
How about the gold pin and the retainer clip I am missing, can I get just that clip?

They are still available from Honda.

PLATE, SET 16186-GJ2-004 $4.98 (Electric bystarter hold down)

SCREW-WASHER (4X8) 93892-04008-08 $0.80 (Bystarter screws)

The gold piece is the needle and I never heard of one wearing out, but if you insist;

NEEDLE SET, JET 16012-GK8-671 $28.50

Looks like the retainer clip is part of the needle set. I bet you could get a used cable from someone here on the forums cheaper.

Yes, I have the plate and screw to hold down the bystarter as seen in my photo.

The needle looks like it is in fine condition, but just the retainer clip is missing, I agree, I would prefer not to spend $28.50 for a tiny little clip. Evilone, what cable am I looking for, that would have the pin as part of it?

My big box of parts arrived last week but with the holiday I have not had much time to work on putting them on. While looking things over one thing I have not figured out is how to mount the new ignition switch. I just don't see how it can attach, could anyone share a description and/or picture that would be a great help. I searched the site but have come up empty handed.

I actually have all the parts now, turns out some even cost less new than used, go figure.

Now I most need help with the ignition install per my above post, any ideas?
