" model Tact Japan only." Which explains the Japanese characters on the instruments.

"Is it this exact model(af09 engine)? The Tact is not the spree version but rather the Aero version. Parts can still be had depending on the part you seek. I did not see you list a location in your profile nor in this post so that is all I can tell you about the parts that you can get (country would help). As far as speed parts go, it varies depending on what engine it has (aka how old it is). I have the af05 tact with high cut panels. There is only one aftermarket gear set still available from a dealer but I have three sets of gears for it (lots of looking paid off). This scoot can hit 60mph with enough work but I'd keep it under 50 (unless you can afford a disk brake upgrade)."

Your pics sure look lik and Aero with different right side trunk. The front fender is an Aero item.

Not the same as that pic it looks more like an old vespa on the front. Flat legshield this is a Tact Fullmark.

Ok, agreed. I will try some spare Aero plastics on it. Or is this more like the 84 model?

Well after searching for the last week I cannot seem to find any parts for this thing. If I cant fix it guess I might as well dump it. Not sure what to do at this point. Started to focus my attention on my 200x I got a few weeks ago. Tact just might see CL soon.

Well, I posted up the Tact on CL sold it for $240! Small profit to help replace the money I spent on my Yamaha 750 :coolcruise:
Maybe I wont have to sell the wife's Aero after all. :geekdance:

Best of all, I kept the front glove box IDK I might use it for something later?

Greetings:

Googling Tact brought up a wide variety of scooters. The earliest one looked like a stripped-down Spree. Several were early and later ('85-later) Aero frames, replete with variators and a kickstarter arm that swung backwards. One was a Thoroughly Modern 1998 replete with AF24 engine among its specs. I guess Honda-san just liked the name: Tact.

Greetings:

Pity, yours looked like it had an Aero '83-'84 AF09. Hard to get a tag in the US, though.

Greetings:

My mistake. Never even seen an early Aero, but thought I'd read the engine code was 09 someplace.
