2001 Honda Elite S Recommend Mods in order

Post by turbotempo85 »

Start this off by letting you know what I have
2001 Honda Elite S Purchased with 50 miles on it now has 1500 miles. I want to step it up some without getting into a big bore kit or exhaust for right now. Purchased it completely restricted and have since removed washer from exhaust and plate on back of variator. Went from 25 mph to about 37 on the level. I have lost a little top speed in past 1400 miles I think based on worn belt and roller weights. I am looking to step up to 45-50mph if possible with this combination:

Polini Performance Clutch Springs $15.00 1000 rpm higher than stock engament( should I go higher?)
Polini Variator Pullery $95.00 Kit comes with all this :
VARIATOR PULLEY
-RAMP PLATE
-PULLEY BOSS
-SLIDERS
-6.3 GRAM ROLLERS
-7.7 GRAM ROLLERS

New Belt what brand is recommended? looking at Polini Sport Drive Belt $30.00

Also need to order a jet for carb looking for the 85-88-90 range Price unknown?

and I am considering going to pre-mix 2 cycle instead of playing with dual cable or messing with current oil injection

I know there is a lot of posts on here but nothing i have found spells out a plan like this let me know what you recommend trying to stay under $200.00

Get the ZX trans setup from VT cycles

get 9.1:1 gears .....There is a group buy on here (contact burnt toast)

and prodigy variator pack from ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Variator ... ccessories

I would go with 1.5k or 2k grab springs too

That should get you where you wanna be for just a little over $200
new best 1/8th mile time 9.647 seconds @67.155 mph 310lbs total weight
