Cone O Stone Fuel Filter
No luck finding said filter. Any recommendations on a good inline fuel filter besides the lawnmower filters? Duck

Will the lawn mower ones not work? They're the only smaller / transparent ones that I can find that I would consider. If you can find a better one, let me know. Not sure if they're 3/16" though. I see a lot of 1/4"

Greetings:
The paper element filters don't seem to flow fast enough to keep up with thirsty 2-stroke appetites. Try lawn n garden section at Lowe's Home Depot, or autoparts stores.

Most of my money is spent on scooterparts. The rest is just wasted.

Anyone have a specific brand / type in mind? Now I'm curious and might as well put one on before I put together my unnamed SA50.

Re: Cone O Stone Fuel Filter
Greetings:
Sorry I can't recall the brand. I'm pretty sure mine came from O'Reilly's and cost ~$5.00. Despite Wheelman Photo "Skills", you can see it on my old CV/CT setup on Flash II the Aero.

Re: Cone O Stone Fuel Filter
Wheelman's photo skills might earn a Pulitzer prize! Very well done and clear. They just opened an O'Reilly's near me a few weeks ago and I purchased the same little filter for $2.79 plus tax. I finally handled the elusive stone this morning. It's made by Prime Line. The manager I talked to said to put the pointed end towards the gas tank and the flat end towards the carb. Shouldn't really matter. Thank you again Wheelman for all your help. Duck
Re: Cone O Stone Fuel Filter
Just took the little Spree out for a half hour spin. The new filter works GREAT! Unlike the paper filter, there is always fuel in the see-thru clear filter. Wheelman ROCKS!!! Thank you my friend. The motor hums at idle and accelerates very well. I can brake hard after WOT and motor continues to hum perfectly. No delay or bogging as if the carb is looking for a drink of fuel. Highly Recommended!!!!!!!! Duck
Re: Cone O Stone Fuel Filter
Most of the time you can see the word "flow" with an arrow or an arrow by itself, arrow should point towards carb and most of the time the arrow is hard to see. But i agree that it really shouldn't matter. Just wanted to throw that in there.duckcove wrote: The manager I talked to said to put the pointed end towards the gas tank and the flat end towards the carb. Shouldn't really matter.
