It's missing the hose from the carb to the air filternoiseguy wrote:I bet it doesn't have an air filter. Won't start without one.

It's missing the hose from the carb to the air filter. You think that would stop it from starting?

I just turned it over 5-6 times didn't mess with the throttle when checking the compression

Checked the compression and put on new head gasket. Only 70psi. Kinda sounds like it wants to start. Would be willing to sell if anyone's interested. I'm in Saginaw and can Txt pics

Not sure just know air comes out the exhaust when I try to start it. I have a friend who can check it for me. Do u know what it should have?

Bought 86 spree today can't get started
Has fresh gas, new spark plug, has spark and compression, I crank over and over and doesn't even sound like it wants to start. Any thoughts or suggestions

should gas be in vacuum line
I cleaned my carb and my spree is still running like crap. Gas isn't getting into the head plug is dry. Has a hard time starting. I can see a small amount of gas in the vacuum line. Any ideas?

Will run fine once started with starting fluid. Plug is dry when I check it after trying to start without starting fluid. Carb? Choke? Vacuum line? All of the above?

spree will only start will starting fluid
I can get running with starting fluid. Does this sound like a choke issue carb issue vacuum line.
