Could not having a fuel petcock affect mpg's?

Also, how many turns out is the needle setting?

I have my engine running really well but I have put about 20 miles on it with a full tank of gas and now its nearly empty. What could be causing this??

My spree has a hard time starting if it sits longer than a hour. The only way to start it is to cover the carb with your hand. Once I have it started I put the elbow to the airbox back on and drive it. It has great acceleration but once it reaches higher speeds of about 20 it starts to bog down ...

Do any of you have pictures of your painted spree's? I would love to see them.

I finally have been in the process of painting the spree and the 2 side covers are turning out great. I sanded them both down, put 3 coats of primer while sanding in between each. I also applied 2 coats of a base coat and 2 coats of clear.

Do you use duplicolor as a primer or the paint that goes on the plastic peices? I am having a hard time having the paint stick to the plastics...

Has anyone done this? What paint did they use and what works the best? Also, how do you remove the front fender?

I have an airbox on, i was using it but that is when the engine was bogging so I moved the elbow over and covered the carb with my finger. If the bystarter is bad what are the symptoms?

Heres the problem...my spree will not start unless I maually cover the carburator. Once it starts I get up to 20mph and it bogs out. It will reach a higher speed of close to 30 if i cover half the carb with my finger. Im thinking its the auto choke (bystarter) but am not sure├óÔé¼┬ªwhat do you all ...
