Ill share a secret with removing rust from the tank. Remove gas from tank then remove tank from bike, remove sending unit, cap, fuel filter, and fuel valve. find a cork from city mill that can plug bottom. I use this thing called acid magic and you can get this from city mill also. pour the acid ...

The japan eve's have the front turn signals on the handlbars instead of the legshield like here in the states on the Spree
your correct, tank is also different from its american sister, the eve and smile has a manual fuel valve, comes in handy when doing engine work, you can turn it off, on or ...

Smooth and sexy! would be sexier without the rear rack. Are the front signals moved or is that where they were originally?
yeah I think itll look great also without the rack but I need something now so that I can get a grab on the rear of the bike, im thinking of fabbing up a rear grab spoiler ...

Nope different one this sidestand is specifically made for the smile, bolts on the floorboard rail. very similar to the honda pal sidestand but shorterkingkamehameha wrote:Is that the same side stand as the elite one? Or is the mounting bracket different?

...a most impressive custom, and you have preserved much of the Smile outward character, at least so far.....the dio is suuuuweeettt...nice detailing...black is perfect for this sleeper, red wheels the cherry on top. ...like the brake hub red, looks flawless.....

nice build. man sprees look like a pain to convert to dio compared to the elite E good luck on your project
yeah it was a pain but it was well worth it, I can now utilize the centerstand and not use a brick when doing engine work
