Re: Fuel, spark, compression - no start
Easy fix is if the temp is above 380 then you upjet AND check for any air leaks into motor. The high temp represents a lean condition and you have to remedy it. It's not hard to find the problem.

Nice! Thanks for posting your find! There was a model I remember that had the 8" wheels instead of the 10" American/Japan market sized ones. That looks like them. I bet it was made in Japan and imported to wherever it is now. Look around on the frame under the bottom or front behind the plastics ...

Yup! I get them used from Japan. It 's the one with 2 prongs, not 3 like the USA Elites. I think I still have one and if you send me a message, I will tell you how to get it and how much it costs. Bones

Re: 86 Lollipop Green restoration
Hey, welcome back! It's up to you at this point. You could add-on to this post for now. We can always make adjustments if needed but the important thing is that you're finally taking on this project! It looks like it's mostly white. Are those the original colors? These are very rare and I don't ...

Re: non running 2001 ish honda elite
What brand and number spark plug was in there when this all happened? Are you holding the throttle wide open when you do cylinder compression test? What did your leak-down test show and how many pounds of air did you pump it up to? If you have resolved your issues then please reply with your ...

Yea what Meatball said, or, maybe you could just buy an Elite SA50 that has the AF16 already on it and go from there? I know someone selling one in Florida (not cheap) but it's complete w/title. Where are you located?

Re: 1985 Honda Spree Problems
You can't just install a new bore kit then go riding it like it was an old scooter. You must follow break-in procedures and make sure no other air is entering the motor except through the carburetor/air filter box. Read the post just before this one for some insight to break-in or you can just give ...

Re: Honing a cylinder. How much?
Yea, it needs to be smooth. No need for a new piston if you just hone it a little but new rings for sure and you have to start the break-in process all over again. Use good grade fuel and non-synthetic oil to break-in rings. IMPORTANT! Be sure there is no air coming into your motor except thru the ...
